LEVELING IN VOLTE
Voltean eventers progress through six levels. All horses must start at the beginner-novice level. To move on to the next level, a horse must earn three blue ribbons. Volte's levels are as follows:
- Beginner-novice [minimum age : 3]
- Novice [minimum age : 3]
- Training [minimum age : 4]
- Preliminary [minimum age : 5]
- Intermediate [minimum age : 6]
- Advanced [minimum age : 7]
LEVELING AND COMPETITION
There are two types of eventing shows: the horse trial and the event. A horse trial lasts only one or two days and can offer any level but advanced. An event can offer any level. Events must offer CCI/CIC classifications, like in real life. CCI/CIC's are considered prestigous events and must be hold over at least three days. They are not separate levels but rather a sort of second name for the levels Volte already has. Volte's CCI/CIC guidelines are as follows:
- CCI/CIC* [equivalent: preliminary]
- CCI/CIC** [equivalent: intermediate]
- CCI/CIC*** [equivalent: advanced]
- CCI/CIC**** [equivalent: advanced]
